Introduction

In Industries, commercial establishment ,manufacturing units etc where the electrical system is huge and complex, it requires measurements at large number of locations. Manual readings of so many meters at many times anat that too simultaneously on a specfic real time basis are immpossible ,even adequate manpower is available and true management cannot be done.Hence data acquistion is a must for recording at the readings on real time basis with associated software for effective management ,ICD ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM - MODEL EMS-9000 is having such a facility and deals with "Demand Side Management".
System Components
Power measurement products,Interface products,Data Converters,Cables and software package.

Power Measurement Products

Energy Meters,Multifunction Meters,Load Managers and Trivector Meters can be selected depending on the customer requirement and application.Suitable meters can be selected depending on the application.

Interface Products

Data Logger : Required for Interlacing pulse output type meters.Each data logger has provision to connect 16 / 32 meters.

Data Concentrator : Required for interfacing meters with RS485 output.Each Data concentrator can support 32 individual meters.The Data concentrators can be provided with RS485,Eithernet output or can be interlaced to a radio modem.The use of data concentrators make the communication connections /grouping easier and also improves the speed of data collection.

Data Convertors

RS485 to RS232 convertor,Repeaters,Ethernet Convertor ,Radio Modem depending upon the type of network used.
